The Big Bang[Akari Rin]

It was now time to go visit whoever was in charge as she marched her way toward the building the guards would look cautiously at her before stopping her. They had to ask if she had a meeting but they knew who she was and clearly she just got back to the village after being gone for ages.

"Mam do you have a set meeting for the Kage, we understand you have been gone for a while..."

Yui would glare at the pair but she knew it was their job as she would simply sigh, of course, she had no planned meeting with whoever the Kage was. She wanted to know where Haku was so she could kill him for his crimes against her village, against her clan that piece of shit would die if she saw him.

"No I do not have a meeting set but I guarantee whoever is in charge will want to see me. I have a lot of information, important to our country's safety they will want, so please just let me talk to them."

She would wait to be given permission as the guards motioned for her to follow them up to the Kages door Yui would take a deep breath and knock on the door. She was not as brash as the last time she visited a Kage she had learned some lessons in her time away and one big lessoin was never underestimate how tone can effect meetings, Kyoji showed her this lesson.

"This is Kotoshura Yui I am unsure who is Kage now but I have returned after my forced time away from the village. I have a lot of information and reports to make and hand over to you and in formation vital for the protection of this village."

Akari was expecting her next meeting to arrive anytime now. To that end she was working on some paperwork in the office, slowly going through the monotony of day to day affairs. The room was decorated as it usually was, her desk back toward the window. A liquor cabinet off to the left side of the office as one faces said back window. The cabinet doubled as a cooling unit below with a multitude of fresh drinks like juice, water, cold beer. The top part holding glasses and beverages that were served at room temperature. Across from the cabinet sat a black couch that was six feet wide. In the back right corner of the office sat a coat stand that held the official robe of office and her hat. Between the coat stand and couch sat a small portable TV stand complete with VCR. Next, before her desk sat two comfortable chairs for guests during meetings. Finally, leaning upon the desk next to her hand, in easy reach was the sheathed Singing Tempest, her personal weapon.

Akari herself wore her usual attire of red blouse, black skirt, black thigh high socks and black shoes. Her dark hair was done up with ribbons and her crystalline eyes took in everything as she skimmed each piece of paper before signing. She had a photographic memory, and as such could remember anything she had read or written. When the knock upon her door interrupted her light paperwork she assumed it was she scheduled meeting. However she would be surprised to hear an unfamiliar voice on the other end of the door. Introducing her as one 'Kotoshura Yui'. Memories of what Tatsu Kotoshura had done before their death flashed through Akari's mind and she had half a mind to inform the girl to leave because of her relation. However she couldn't do that, and she knew it.

For starters it simply wouldn't be civil, and Akari detested such actions. Secondly, it wouldn't do her any good. She hadn't known where Yui was all this time, however she had in fact wondered where she had gotten off to and where she might be. She hadn't met the woman once since she had been officially instated as Hokage for she simply had not been in the village. Frowning marginally at this interruption, she would steeple her hands before her, setting her elbows on the desk. She wasn't happy with the timing, she did have another appointment due any minute. Although this might work for that too either way.

Regardless she had to deal with her now and whatever information she might have was a curiosity for the teen. Those with knowledge, always craved more, did they not? "Come in." She would say, her tone polite, and cordial. Once the door opened Akari would stand in greeting. "Welcome Yui, my name is Akari, and I am the current Hokage, after Haku, who came after Tatsu." She would say, introducing herself and informing Yui that she was the Hokage. The position had changed so often recently that many might not realize who held the position if they were outside of the village. "Can I offer you a drink?" She would ask, gesturing toward the cabinet and cooler combination. "I'm afraid I'm not much of a drinker myself so if you wanted something exotic you'd have to mix. However the option is there if you wish." She would say before dropping her hands and sitting back down. She placed them atop the table and steepled them, showing that she wasn't planning any tricks by fingering knives.

This was usually good form for any shinobi in a meeting. They spent so much time training for assassination and espionage that any small 'tells' that informed them that the person they were meeting wasn't intending to stab them in the back was generally appreciated and simply considered 'good form.' "You speak of information, please, get comfortable and feel free to report." She would say, nodding toward one of the chairs.

She finally was allowed in, so this girl was the Kage now, it was like a revolving door of Kages. Still she had been respectful and her body language suggested she was cautious but appeared to show no threat to Yui. Yui took a seat after grabbing some Sake slamming down two cups before taking a deep breath. She would pull a file out and place it in front of her to read, it would detail everything that happened, from her and Rin fighting nine tails and being forced to summon Menza to not only help save their lives but save the village. It also told how he held her hostage forcing Rin to do things he did not want to do and also forcing her to be unable to return. This report also held scathing details about Kiri how she was offered to be released to Kiri who could return her to Konoha but Kyoji the Kage at the time betrayed the alliance.

It would continue to tell how she had to fight in the pits to the death in order to finally escape from Kiri. Her return to Konoha did not happen because she headed toward Kumo, this was for a reason. She listed she could not trust Konoha because her cousin who she even admitted in the report had gone mad meant she may be the target to be assassinated. With Haku being listed as the one to order her cousin's death she only returned when she discovered he was no longer in charge. This report left out no details in no way did she try to make herself seem innocent of any wrongdoing, no it was a blunt and honest report from her point of view.

"As you can read the details in this are damning for many reasons, one if you trust Kiri you are just asking for them to betray this village again. This isn't the first betrayal check the village records I am sure you will find more cases of them betraying us. I gave you this report with one hope you can change this village for the better and give you a warning do not trust Kiri at all, if you follow the same foolish path the other Kages did you may be killed off because of Kiri. The second reason I came is to find out where is Haku, I have no beef with the village, but that man is my target and he will die. Nothing you say or do will prevent this, if you do not know his location that is fine but if I find out he is here and you protect this pieces of shit, you become my enemy."

She was honest and blunt her file often showed Yui was always like this, she wore her emotions on her sleeve. She never lied, anything they did to check would show she always was truthful despite if it caused her issues she was honest by default.

"I will say this unless you can offer me a promise written by your hand I will not be the target of assassinations by Konoha Shinobi, in particular, all those members of mocking bird. I am talking about a fellow clanmate of your Aki, don't pretend he isn't a criminal he is. Haku ordered the death of my cousin but if you don't think I have suspicions certain factions were involved you are wrong, call me crazy I do not care but you have factions that want nothing more then to watch the world burn in your village. I just want peace, I want to enjoy happiness with Rin, I plan to marry Rin and retire, I just want my peaceful life and anyone that tries to ruin this will suffer."

In her return she was astounded to learn more and more about what Konoha had suffered through. The city, as prosperous as it seemed, suffered great hardships including being a victim to the Society. That same criminal organization Akeno was tied to. The city's treasury was picked clean and exclusive gone including those gained by Iwagakure. Although ryo was easy to recover, the exclusive technique Konoha had wasn't unless she sought to conquer Iwagakure again. But Lord knows that would only cause troubling headlines. Masuyo was valued for her knowledge of both Konoha and Iwagakure exclusives, being a master of those she was capable of learning. It was top priority that she helped the city record them and allow the ninja of Konoha to practice them once again.

Masuyo dressed in her standard gear. Her footwear consisted of standard black sandals fitted for comfort and security. With the toes and heel left exposed they provided additional balance, while the rest of the foot up to the ankle was protected by the thick nylon material of the sandal. The soles of the sandals are reinforced with hardened material to resist heavy impacts and weathering. She wore a pair of loose fitting black pants with the bottoms near her ankles taped securely in white bandage wrap. This provided balance and reinforcement to her ankles while closing off the ends of her pants. In addition, more bandage wrap was wrapped around her right thigh which allowed a navy blue holster to be strapped over comfortably. Around her waist she wears the basic utility belt which carries two green holsters on her right side along with two tool pouches around her back side.

A titanium mail shirt is worn under a common long sleeve black top having a red seal of fire placed on the outsides of each sleeve towards the upper arm. Over that was a fitted green flak jacket provided by Konoha's armory and fitted with steel plated inserts making the jacket like a more flexible breastplate having the steel in all parts of her leather. The jacket was zipped up and secure firmly on her body. She wore a pair of banded steel arm guards which protected the backs of her hands and down to her elbows with a narrow soft spot on the backs of her wrists to allow freedom of movement. Lastly her forehead protector was worn around the neck like a collar with the steel plate facing the front showing Konoha's symbol proudly on the plaque. Masuyo has straight, dark brown hair which extends down to her mid back. She stands at 5'9 weighing approximately 145 lbs. Her fair skin is complimented with her voluptuous form which is completed with a pair of hazel eyes.

In her arms she carried several blank scrolls up to the Hokage office. Extending her leg out she'd kick the door open and waddle in only to stop in awe, gazing at Akari's company. The golden mane, fair skin, and robust frame showed everything Masuyo needed to know to jog her memory. Yui had developed into a woman for sure. Seeing her hunched over the desk with a sake cup helped amplify that image even more. "Howdy." She said cheerily before clearing her throat. "Here are the documents, Akari-Kage." Masuyo, preferring not to use the proper honorific as a way to condescend the rather young Hokage. It's not that she didn't respect Akari or disliked her, but she was fond of teasing children. It was a habit when training new Genin of hers, and Akari was certainly the age of many of her previous and even present students.

In truth Rin hasn’t been gone from Konoha more than a year, but for some reason walking up the familiar stairs brought back memories. Memories of him walking up and down this path from going on missions and returning from them. Yet they strangely felt such a long time ago. Rin is garbed in a simple short sleeved white shirt and linen slacks that is slightly baggy. His feet were protected from the weather by a pair of sandals.

Rin possesses a leather belt secured around the hip which holds a hip pouch on his left flank, and on his right side is a smaller bag which contains the ration pills. Clipped onto his right side attached by steel wire is a folded fuuma shuriken. A green holster can be seen on his left thigh which held three visible kunai. On both arms from the wrists to the forearms is a set of steel arm guards. Otherwise he does not have the same level of armor and weapons that he used to have.

His dark hair was a bit longer since a whole month of being drugged and put near death did little maintenance in his health. Even after being rescued from the unexpected savior, Rin had to spend time exercising and a steady diet to regain most of his strength. Still he managed to tame the dark locks into a smooth layered hair. Even started to grow a stubble of a beard that frames his jawline quite nicely. Due to the lack of connection with Kurama, his eyes have reverted to the normal hazel blue.

What skin can be seen along his arms are scar tissue that appears to be deep gouges in an intricate pattern. Even hints of more scar tissue can be seen along his collarbone where he took a shark bomb point blank and was left barely alive from it. Even the scar on his left bicep that looks like someone took a knife and stabbed through muscle and skin. There's even a scar along the right cheek as if something cut him. Least to say that since his departure, he's been through hell already.

Rin was escorted from the gates by a pair of guards as they didn’t trust him to wander in Konohagakure when there was no proof of identification. Still, mainly because he bears a strikingly near identical resemblance of when they last saw Rin. Just a tad bit older, but still roughly the same.

As they neared the Hokage’s office door, the guard in front of Rin raised a hand for them to halt. So Rin stopped with the second guard behind him. The guard knocked on the closed door twice before he spoke in a raised yet clear tone.

”Pardon for our intrusion, but there is someone who claims to be Rin Uchiha wishes to speak with you Lady Hokage. May we enter?”

Akari would keep an eye on Yui as the girl moved to gather two sake cups and then sit down before placing a file on her desk. As she was getting ready to verbally give her report however the door would burst open. 'Of course..' She would think as her next appointment showed up. Masuyo was of course right on time for their very scheduled meeting. The moment of shocked recognition as the woman, laden down with blank scrolls for their meeting would bring a small smile to the girls features. It had been a long time since Masuyo had seen her previous student she was sure. The files on the team had been read and put away, not long after Akari took office. Masuyo would greet them, with a cheerful 'howdy' to which Akari would nod in greeting of her own. "Good afternoon Masuyo-san." She would say, always respectful in her office. She would motion for her to bring the scrolls over. "Please Masuyo-san, set those down over here and take a seat. Help herself to a drink, it's been a long time since you've seen Yui. I see no reason why you can't be here while she reports." She would say. The woman had been the Sandaime Hokage after all and was arguably her most trusted Jounin within the village. If anyone within the village could be trusted to take part in any meeting Akari might be in, it would certainly be Masuyo.

With that out of the way, and the door having swung shut behind the Ex-Kage Akari would turn toward Yui and open her mouth to invite her to begin her report. Of course that's when someone knocked on the damn door again and Akari was interrupted before she could. Sighing softly Akari would listen to the words of the guard who knocked before her eyebrows rose in surprise at the name. Yui and Rin? Both here at the same time? With Masuyo here too? Well that was certainly odd timing if she had ever seen it but the dark haired woman would waste no time before speaking aloud. "Let him in and return to your posts." She would say, prompting them to open the door for the man who'd been gone for so long.

Akari obviously had questions, however the priority of those questions was rather important. Rin, last time she had checked. Had been in the clutches of Menza and has potentially been executed since the deadline for giving him the funds for his freedom had long since passed. Akari hadn't even been kage when the time had done so but even if she had been she didn't know what she could have done. Not after Raijin had so neatly crippled them by robbing them of all their money and taking their exclusives. "I suppose you three will want to take a moment to say hello. Please, do so, however Rin you've arrived just as Yui was about to give her report over what she's been doing over the course of the past couple of years. Please, help yourself to a drink and a seat." She would say, motioning toward the cabinet and the couch and chairs she had around the room.

While they said hello it would give Akari a few moments to gather her thoughts. Her mind would run through potential questions and it would reply the video Menza had sent to the kage's. She had watched it upon finding it in her desk. As a matter of fact, showing Masuyo that video had been one of the intentions of the meeting. It was why the T.V. was in the room at the moment as it usually wasn't. Perhaps showing the video to everyone, in case Rin and Yui hadn't seen it. Although Rin had been in it obviously, to give them perspective as to what she knew already would be a strong start? That felt like the best option to the girl and she wordlessly opened a desk drawer and withdrew the video from the drawer and set it aside. Ready to be used when they had finished talking. Provided Masuyo had set the scrolls down as invited Akari would ensure they were neatly stacked so as not to be in the way.

Yui had a lot of things to say but her meeting was soon interrupted by Masuyo, she would smile at her, while yes she was mad in the past at her and is really mad right now throwing her cousin into the position to get her killed. She was by no means meant to be a Kage, this was the worst thing that could have happened but this was not the time and place to discuss this. She was just happy to see a friendly face, she would stand and move to offer Masuyo a hug, it had been so long and despite her anger, it was her former sensei.

As she was about to speak to her she heard another knock this time Rin was announced while hugging Masuyo she would feel Yui's heartbeat increase before she let her go. As Rin would enter Yui would leap into his arms with tears streaming down her face, she was crying in front of people something only Rin had ever seen at this point. She held him so tight and whether he wanted it or not she would give him a deep passionate kiss, her eyes looking down and seeing his hand missing making her feel rage. She would not show this right now however she was just beyond glad Rin was alive and after two long years, she was at his side again.

"Rin... I love you... I love you... I love you... you know this...I...I thought you were dead, no Kages worked together and I thought you would die for sure. I am so sorry... I should never have made any deals with Menza... it would have been better if we just died that day...but we lived and went through so much. I... have so much to say but let me give this report, so I can ask for my release from being a shinobi in Konoha."

She would let go of him and take her seat once more wiping away her tears, she wanted to be in Rins arms more but this was not the time. She had to finish this, this crazy series of events with the folder sitting on Akari's desk. Everything she needed to know she would find in the report, Yui told no lies said everything she had been involved in. She also made it clear Kiri was no ally with what they had done to their own allies shinobi, they were traitors and had willingly worked with The Society.
