Satori had returned from the mission he had been sent on by his clan, though it had been approved by Kyoji as well, the S-Rank job hadn't been one that was terribly difficult. He had expected worse, though it wasn't as though it had been a walk in the park. An S-Rank missing ninja still wasn't to be trifled with. His hand still stung from their clash. At least, before he'd dissected the man's arm to the shoulder and drug his unconscious body back to the village.
The job had been long-term. Hounding a missing ninja across the country, and into others, returning nearly two years later was a pain. But he hadn't been strong enough to take the position from the shark-faced Mizukage at the time. A low hiss of air from the massive man's sigh passed between his teeth before his hand pushed the gate open, faced with the two guards that stiffened upon seeing the dirty man with wild hair.
He suddenly wanted a shower. Very badly. But reporting came first. He'd already heard there was a new Mizukage, but he hadn't been informed his mission was canceled, so he'd continued on. Crimson eyes shifted and focused on the nearest guard, the Jounin's own narrowed warily at the massive man bearing the symbol of the savage Ryuutei clan on his shoulder. Only a headband, no jacket to signify ranking, or status.
"Name and purpose here?" The question was wary, and it made sense. His face wasn't going to be recognized as a Genin from two years ago. Satori's clawed hand lifted, pushing the wild mane back as keen, intelligent eyes looked down and met the Jounin's own.
"Satori Ryuutei, head of the Ryuutei clan, reporting my mission completed. I've turned in the proof to the Police station so he can be further questioned." The words caused a pause, they had been informed Satori was coming, but simply hadn't recognized him. As well, the job had been to bring back the head of the Ninja. They hadn't expected him to be brought back alive. Satori's hand dropped as he straightened.
"I need to ask and see if a few deals me and the last Mizukage had are still on the table or not. Is she--it is a she, right?--busy?" The question caused the guards eye to twitch, but he understood the confusion, to a degree. Releasing a sigh he straightened.
"Welcome back from your successful mission. I'll have your success reported, and see if she has time for you today. If not I shall return with a date for you, Ryuutei-sa--sama," the words were stiff as the formal response of nobility was given. Viewed as savages or not, the Ryuutei was a powerful warrior clan for Kirigakure, and its head was to be treated with a basis of respect, regardless of ninja ranking, just like the other powerful clans.
Satori simply nodded, straightening slightly and leaning against the gates entrance. The large scroll hanging from his back as he glanced over the city. It looked like it was doing better than it had been before he left. The tensions with Kumogakure must have either reached a peak, or calmed while he'd been gone. His nose twitched as he caught the scent of the guard's chakra returning, and his gaze shifted toward the man as he appeared.
"She has a few moments for you." He stated simply, causing the large young man to nod his head once, before grunting and hauling himself up. Moving toward the building, and making his way up toward the relatively familiar office. The layout had changed a bit since the last time he'd been there. Renovations maybe? Shrugging, his hand lifted, rapping thrice against the door before placing his hands back, clasped behind his back as he awaited admittance from his kage.
