Kyoji was born in a small town of outside of Kirigakure. The Land of the Water was his home but then his family needed safety so they moved to Kiri. And indeed even as a major nation, it grew slightly in its power. His family of 5 moved all the way the metropolis of the Land of Water. They soon found refuge in the Mist village. At a young age of 10 he was still older than his younger brothers when they made the move. He adapted quickly to the village after joining the Academy to become a ninja.
But he was hailed as prodigy for his quick mastering of Hoshigaki fighting skills. Even as a Genin he was able to unlock his true potential and was able to contain his bloodrage. Now able to use it on a level that was far above even his father and mother could wield. As they only knew of its power but they were not strong enough to wield it themselves. Kyoji spent a majority of his career finding fights in all manners. His bloodlust made him this way and feeding it kept him sane for the most part.
But made him want violence more than what was necessary. So he began to make a goal for himself to focus his rage into his field. Kyo would set his sights on becoming one of the legendary Seven Swordsman of the Mist. A coveted title that was held for the most powerful swordsman in the village and maybe even the world.
The process however was beyond him. After becoming a Chuunin and making a name quickly for himself. He thought it was only a matter of time. But his actions out on the battlefield were marred with blood.
Kyoji's expected call up never came. Holding his head high he sought help from an elder ninja to help control his bloodlust. Something that was damning his career. He was a Special Jounin called Magio Himura. An old but pleasant man who had an uncanny knack for bringing hidden talents out of strong ninja.
Seeking his help, Magio accepted his help as he always did. Being a private student he studied under him for years. Eventually gaining a grasp on his bloodlust. Even using this new determination to become a Kiri Jounin.
However there was an unfortunate incident. After sparring fiercely with his teacher. He unlocked his blood rage mode which sent him into a frenzy. Accidentally permanently injuring him during an exchange. Taking off an arm of his master who had to retire. Did not deter him however. Though he expressed it would never happen again. Kyoji wanted it to happen.
Now willingly able to give in completely to this mode. He sticks around Kiri to find strong foes to sate his lust for now. Plenty of opportunities for him. Becoming indifferent to the people he protects though he will do or. Now begrudgingly.
Personality: Kyoji is a very calm individual. In height of the demands from his family to succeed and to bring honor to them and himself. He has handled the pressure with tremendous resolve. The difficult task of learning his clans dangerous and volatile element was because of his own resolve to master the extent of this power. He always had a calling for it even when he was a toddler. At that young age he could be seen as a kind and caring person. A front he keeps up with religiously.
When among friends hes, quiet and cordial. Even speaks highly of others. Nothing out of the ordinary that would set him apart from anyone else. Still however he doesn't actually care for anyone or anything. Except those who will help him on his path to higher understanding. And his family. Fiercely devoted to his family, he shows none of the carefully crafted personalities with them. He was free to be himself, which was a dark and empathic person.
