Education is the Catalyst [ Training ] Empty Education is the Catalyst [ Training ]

Ryūketsu found himself staring at the scrolls he held in his hands, his unsettling eyes narrowed into slits. He'd read the three of them already while seeking to better himself, so it wasn't as though he didn't know what they contained, so really it was silly of him to bring them to the training grounds today. But, then again, reading words on a page was considerably easier than actually putting them into practice, so perhaps having them to reference should he get anything wrong would be better than not having them at all and wasting a day of practice entirely.

Gaze cold, the genin placed the three scrolls to his side where he was sitting cross legged against  one of the many trees in the training ground. He'd specifically chosen this area of the training ground because it was secluded. No one else needed to see his particular method of training - he doubted they'd find it in them to approve of it after all. So, once the scrolls were settled he then pulled up his sleeve and began to unwrap the bandages around his hand before lifting a kunai to gouge two slits into it.

It hurt of course, but he wasn't unfamiliar to the pain, and after a few hisses of discomfort it came under control and he could once again focus on what he'd come to the grounds for - though he did suppose he could have found it in himself to do this at home as well. Still, it was nice to get out sometimes. So, carefully, he gathered his chakra to his hand, placing it over one of the cuts to heal it with the chakra palm technique that he already knew the reverse of. This was the easier of the two techniques to learn, as the second one took him some time after casting the seals of heaven, snake, dog with one hand and focusing his palm over the second of the cuts. Eventually he managed to stem the flow of blood heal the small wounds he'd given himself completely.

Finished, he then stood, gathering his scrolls up again and sticking them into a side pouch. He took a moment to breathe from the effort he'd already taken before focusing on the third of the jutsu he intended to learn for the day. This one wasn't too difficult, considering his background of as a sensory shinobi, and the abilities of his clan, and within a few breaths he felt the ebb and flow of his chakra begin to subside under his control. Then, while continuing this control he began to walk home. If he could manage that short distance, it would be successful enough. And he did, allowing his chakra to return to it's normal state only once he'd returned home.
