Dance of the Manticore [Mission]

Mission Details:

Manticore:

As much as Rin has grown to hate the blistering heat of this desert. He can't very well just leave it to some rampaging beast trying to tear Sunagakure apart. Of course, Rin is certain that if it came down to it Nozomi would swiftly deal with this thing. A skirmish between a summoner and a couple of the guards occurred near Sunagakure gates apparently. Out of desperation the summoner brought out a large beast that can be accurately described as a vaguely humanoid head, the body of a lion, and the wings of a dragon. It's long tail ends in long, sharp spikes. It's certainly larger than any human as even on all fours it is 9 feet tall, 10 feet long, and with a heavy mass it kicks up a small sand cloud.

"You need to take cover in the city now kid!" One of the guards commanded Rin as he wasn't dressed like a shinobi. Rin stared at the charging Manticore, measuring the size, how fast it moved, the way it moved, the spikes on the tail, the way it wasn't using it's wings to fly, and even considering how heavy it's steps were. Just from looking at these factors, Rin can tell this creature boasts some impressive strength and is equipped to handle itself. Not this time as he lacks the uniform, weapons, or gear in general. Just a short sleeved linen shirt with a sand colored baggy pants and a pair of brown sandals. The stump of his right hand is wrapped in cloth up to his elbow. Yet his sea green eyes are looking down at this beast with an analytical expression. It was of impressive size, and probably capable of handling Chunin and Jounin.

"No, I won't. Either I buy you time or take care of the problem for you." Rin simply says, and the guard was about grab the teen by the collar until Rin simply stepped off the top of the gate. He uses a repetitive cycle of magnetize his feet onto the gate and let go that he was practically sliding down to ground level. Once there, Rin walks up to the charging Manticore. What appears to be ink as black markings flow from the tips of his fingers to cover up to his shoulder in tribal markings. Holding several symbols that lead up to the head of a dragon, albeit his right is covered due to the sleeves and bandages.

As the Manticore charged, seeing that lone defender even from it's distance could see that Rin is missing his right hand. Rin never saw a Manticore grin before, but he's certain that the Manticore is confident in itself. The beast charges Raiton on it's right front leg as it sports deadly claws. Rin recognized that technique as it was once used against him before. Still he didn't hesitate or wavered as the Manticore was quickly drawing closer. Once it was about five meters from Rin, and they were about 50 meters from the gate. The Manticore began to swing it's right paw charged with raiton as it puts it's whole body weight and momentum behind it.

However, Rin times it perfectly as he quickly utilized a mixture of techniques and Selou Won itself to spin around the right of the Manticore's. Which Rin left physical energy behind his wake so the Manticore struck an empty image as Rin completes the spin with a ridiculously powerful kick to the side of the Manticore's head. Which was followed with an intense concussive force that matched the strength behind the kick. This one kick sends the large beast flying for a good 20 meters to the side. It lands on it's side as it appears to be dazed right now.

Rin's Stuff:

A few moments passed before the Manticore recovered from its dazed state. During of which Rin walked up to the Manticore, albeit he stops ten meters away from it until the beast shook it's head and stands back up on its four paws. It snarls at Rin in fury before it flaps it's powerful wings to ascend up to ten meters, twenty meters, and then it begins to glide through the sweltering air around Rin. The Manticore whiplashes it's tail to send four spikes down at Rin's area.

Which Rin was focusing on the Manticore, albeit it was also moving painfully slow for him. Even the spikes descended faster than the Manticore was moving, but perhaps that's the point of it. Rin nimbly moves away from the spikes with his light and swift footing. Which the Manticore thought it was being clever as it dove for a swipe of it's claws at Rin. However, Rin simply leaped up at the diving beast to shorten the distance quicker than it was anticipating. All so that Rin can swing his leg up for a lateral kick to it's chest. Another concussive force erupts from his feet before the Manticore is sent high into the air for a good 20 meters. Unable to resist the force despite how desperately it tried using it's wings to slow itself down.

However, the second Rin's foot touched the sand, he seemingly vanishes from the Manticore's sight. When in reality he just leapt incredibly fast despite the thirty meters in the air they were. Rin places himself behind the Manticore, and it was surprised when Rin quickly spin his body to drive a devastating kick into the Manticore's ribs. Then a second kick that's a heel drop slams into the Manticore's shoulder just above the dragon wings. Each force whether they hit or not emits concussive shockwaves that push against the Manticore. Still the heel drop makes the Manticore rapidly twirl, and from that point on Rin rapidly unleashed a flurry of punches, elbows, kicks, and knee strikes focused into the core of the beast. All thirty meters down Rin delivers as many blows as possible that it might as well make rapid booms from the force he's throwing at this beast. They weren't random blows either, as Rin keeps the Manticore spinning rapidly and uncontrollable.

Then just before they reached the sand, Rin spins his body around for the final time to deliver an incredibly devastating heel drop into the Manticore's chest cavity. Which Rin could feel bones cracking under the pressure before the beast is sent to crash hard into the sand at point blank of this. This creates a large sand cloud as the Manticore causes a wave of sand to scatter around them. However, the cloud doesn't last long as with a Fuuton technique via a simple exhale of his lips Rin clears the cloud away. Revealing the Manticore on its back, broken ribs can be seen puncturing through the thick skin, and the beast is either dead or unconscious. All at the center of this ten meter crater, with Rin standing roughly 3 meters away from the beast.

Rin rolls his shoulders as the ink-like markings reside into his fingertips until it can no longer be seen. "Who in blazes would sacrifice their summon to escape like this? Did they seriously think just because this creature is big that it could hold off an entire village?" Rin mutters to himself, a bit angry at the summoner. A sigh of frustration escapes from his lips as he hates what he is about to do. Rin finds one of those spikes that the Manticore tried to skewer him with. With his one hand, Rin picks up one of these long spikes and then walks back over to the Manticore. The beast's eyes were closed, and Rin can see the shallow movements of breathing. But for how long can it survive under this condition? If it hasn't disappeared by now, then that means the summoner had not intention of this one surviving.

Rin raised the spike with the elongated spear pointed at the Manticore's eyes. For a moment, Rin can imagine what Menza would say right now. The mocking of his voice of whether Rin has the stomach to kill or not. Still, a message has to be sent to those who dares assault Sunagakure. Sometimes a death sentence, an execution, is necessary. So with a strong jab, Rin punctures the Manticore's skull with the spike. Granting it a swift and painless death as it where. Then Rin turns on his heel with eyes of sorrow, yet steels his resolve to hide it. Perhaps, one day there will be a time where Rin won't have to kill anything or anyone. But until such a time comes. Rin will have to keep killing if necessary.
