He sports dark rings around his eyes which he often accentuates with eyeliner. He has black hair and always slicks it back with a bit of gel. Chen is fond of wearing dark clothes. His standard attire is a black T-shirt shirt or turtleneck, black cargo pants, and an elegant black blazer. He often wears a gold chain around his neck and an expensive gold wristwatch.
History:
Chen hails from another world. One not much different from this one albeit with strands of fate far crueler. In this world, he was found abandoned in a cold and dark place. He had no parents to speak of and so was brought to an orphanage where he grew up. Life there was hard, cruel, and humiliating. Pieces of him were taken away. With each passing day he grew more and more detached. He found solace in books, meditation, and in a certain other-worldly friend named Ethereum. The being frightened him but it was his only sense of familiarity and stability. Eventually, Chen would go on to make friends of his own. This decreased his reliance on Ethereum. Their warm embrace pulled him away from its toxic influence and brought him closer to hope and salvation. Unfortunately, this was not meant to continue. One day he was mysteriously robbed of his consciousness and eventually his body. It decayed away like a dying flower only to sprout anew in another universe. When Chen awoke, he looked the same but felt different. He had been gestating for what felt like hundreds of years. He was fed sights, sounds, and feelings that were not his own. It was as if his experiences had been sourced from another and then fed into his own mind. He was now whole in all things: body, soul, and mind. His friend was no longer a friend, but a father. Confident in himself and his mission, he trekked to Sungakure which had at the time recently opened its gates. The nation was accepting outcasts from around the world and so what better place for an two-time inter dimensional refugee to make his home? He registered himself as Chen Kimyōnakama and declared his loyalty to this re-awakened polity. It is here where Chen (re-)starts his story...
Personality: Before coming to this world, Chen Kimyōnakama was more a shell than a person. He had no true sense of autonomy and he could only define himself in terms of conflict and struggle. It was a miserable existence. Since his rebirth into this world, however, Chen now has the spark of life. He is still a quiet and reserved kid but his spirit has been rejuvenated. There is an element of cockiness in his attitude towards life. It is a subtle self-assuredness that manifests in his proficiency in combat and in dealing with people. While he isn't exactly a mute, he only speaks when necessary and when he does it is with an aura that commands attention. Like his former self, he does have a tyrannical soul. He enjoys dominating people and situations, especially those he perceives to be his rivals or enemies. Chen trusts few people and he likes to keep his circle small.
Generally speaking, Chen hates being put under the subjection of other people. He detests old men in particular and will avoid them when given the opportunity. He prefers the solitude of libraries and often loses himself in various books ranging from horror to history. Chen also has a bit of a champagne taste. Having been deprived of the sense of pleasure for so long, he has come to appreciate luxury and all the finer things in life. In short, Chen is an inter-dimensional refugee who had for years known nothing but abuse and degradation. He now has a burning hunger to enjoy the fruits of existence and autonomy. But more importantly, he seeks to control his environment such that he will never be a victim again.
