Purpose: To house the Samurai and practitioners of the Bushido Code, to govern the Land of Iron
General Description: The Capitol City of the Land of Iron, Tetsumura is the home of the legendary Samurai and the base of opperations of the Shogun of the Iron Country. It is a neutral land, staying out of the affairs of the ninja and their wars, but is open to trade that would benefit everyone. Here the Samurai practice the way of Bushido and work on their legendary weapon skills, so that if anyone were to wish to fight them they would be able to defend themselves. It was created in the place of the former capitol, but renamed in order to usher in a new Era for the Land of Iron. It exists in a valley in the Land of Iron that has a river running into it, giving it natural protection from the mountains as well as the water.

    History:
Tetsumura | Land of Iron 3PuVEt8
Long before the creation of the Samurai, or the Bushido Code, the Land of Iron was a war torn country. Savage clans inhabited the mountainous region, and for many years hundreds of clans warred over every part of the country. That would all eventually change when the Four Kingdoms were created, North, East, South and West, and the wars would end in the rising of four clans as the leaders of their respective Kingdoms. The clans who rose to power were the Fisei, Lords of the South Kingdom, the Gi, Masters of the East Kingdom, the Makato, Lords of the North Kingdom, and the Meiyo, Lords of the West Kingdom. The formation of the kingdoms was a time of relative peace, in which the four governing clans lead each of them fairly and by the tenant that was associated with their clan name; Self Control, Justice, Integrity and Honour respectively. Unfortunately, peace doesn’t often last, and such was the case with the clans.

The four Kingdoms had trade agreements in place for what little supplies that they had, but it would be discovered that the mountains were filled with the precious resource Iron. The Fisei Clan, believing the other Kingdoms to be hoarding resources, struck out and what would ensue would be considered the bloodiest war in the history of The Land of Iron.

The War of Iron, as it was eventually named, lasted for one hundred years. Throughout that time the Fisei came to realize that in their efforts to preserve the morality of the land they had torn at it’s very soul. Eventually the time came when a meeting between the leaders of the four main clans was called; The Fisei, The Meiyo, The Makato and the Gi. They met in a region known as the Three Wolves Mountains and here they discussed peace, to put an end to the suffering of the land’s people and to return to harmony with the world around them. It was at that time that the leader of the Gi clan proposed a code that all clans would adopt to ensure the happiness, peace and prosperity of the Samurai well into the future. It was at this time that the Bushido Code was created; also called They Who Serve. The Samurai were created to protect the people of the newly renamed Iron Shogunate; The Land of Iron. This was the formation of the Country as we know it today.

At that same meeting the first election for the position of Shogun was held, the leader of the Makato clan, Kiyoko being the appointed. The leader of the Fisei Clan, Tatsumaru Fisei was the first to swear fealty to the newly appointed Shogun, the action being both a true representation of the Clan’s devotion to their ideals and as a way of making restitution for their unintended crimes against their people. It was decided then that the title of Shogun would always be passed down to an apprentice from a different Clan, so as to ensure that the leadership was always fairly handled and that no one Clan had more power than another.

Throughout the following centuries, the land lived in peace. The Shogunate would continue to pass hands from master to student, and the clans lived in harmony, trading still from the areas that had once been known as each of their Kingdoms, and the heads of the clans meeting often to discuss the future of the lands and the prosperity of the people. This was true until recently, when the Land of Iron was attacked by the Mizukage Kyoji, and his subordinate Hana Kaguya. The two of them would make their way into the heart of Iron, finding the outpost that housed their most sacred treasures, destroying their walls, killing all of their soldiers, and stealing the technique scrolls that had been protected for generations teaching the secret techniques of Iron, as well as the sacred blade Kurusawa. This action would leave the land in a state of Chaos, and when the clans were needed most they would all retreat back to their former Kingdoms, sulking in their defeat. The Shogun of the land would go missing, most presuming he had committed a ritual suicide in order to regain his honour, but currently that is only rumour.

One year after the sacking of the Land of Iron, a Samurai born of Sand known as Kensai Tanahashi would be appointed Shogun of the land, and it was at that point that the Village of Tetsumura was formed, the village seeking to usher in a new era of peace and prosperity for all of the people of the land...

Allegiances/Allies: The Land of Iron stays neutral in the affairs of the ninja and therefore they are political and war allies to none, however they are opened to trade with all nations.
