Clan History/Description The Keraisora clan have not been one with this world long, and as such do not have a vast horde of historical achievements under their belt, but, though they may be few in number and little in prestige, they stand far and wide to carve their legacy into the earth of the road they travel along. The Keraisora clan has its origins in a prefecture to the north of Sunagakure, having been set upon by bandits for years, the once humble oasis prefecture was robbed of its riches and any of the natural beauty that once graced it and made it a wonder to behold. The waters now sick with the diseased bodies of the long dead, the fields around them barren and over-harvested while the estates have been run into ruin by squatters and nerdowells that have camped there ever since. The Keraisora, deciding to leave and search for greatness in the greater world, took their maps and split up, each family moving in different directions in a great schism, that one of them might find greatness, and with that greatness, find a home that one day, they all might come back to.

With this grand ideal in their minds, passing it down to their children in turn, the Keraisora are largely nomadic, but few families joined villages in an attempt to raise through the ranks of the village ninja there, attempting to claim their legacy that way and hope to provide for the rest of the clan. Their skills with fuuton making them rather useful wherever they find themselves, whether it be to fill the sails of the many ships in Kiri, to feed air into the deepest tunnels of Iwa, chart the open skies of the vast Suna Deserts, sail ships above the clouds of Kumo or feed life into the heart of fire country.

The Keraisora are heartfelt believers and followers of the great spirit of Air Kohryu and his children of the winds, being the great Suzaku, Byakku, Genbu and Seiryu. Many of them believe that the wind that these spirits incarnate in the winds and the skies, passing judgement on sinners and causing the winds to blow at their backs guides them to where they need to be. The ultimate expression of this belief is the amount of emphesis the group place upon the act of breathing in one form or another. Many members of the Keraisora hold the idea that the spirits of air breathe life into a person as they come into the world and take their first breath, it as at this point where life begins for the members of the clan and when the ritual of welcoming a child into the world takes place. Similarly, the dying breath of a person is often seen as a living being giving back the air that had been given to them by the spirits in the first place, and a person taking their rightful place beside them.

Members of the Keraisora clan live as nomads, travelling from one city to another most of the time and have a reputation not unlike that of gypsies in one way or another, those who no longer seek greatness and prefer travelling will often use their talents to bewilder and beguile people in entertainment or showcase wares from the far off places they've been. Having traveled so much, their mapping and survival skill in many ways are second to none as they become prestigious guides and wayfinders.

Of the few famous deeds the clan had performed, there is one of note that many would know of in recent years. Members of the Keraisora clan had been breathing life into long forgotten places and ruins under nations in hopes of revealing secrets and bringing them to life simply due to their unique ability to create fast amounts of oxygen to breathe in the most inhospitable of climates. Labyrinths under Konohagakure, temples buried under the sands of Suna, hidden mountain fortresses in Iwa and of the more notable instances, it was a Keraisora clan member whom revitalized the once long forgotten sky city that lay at the bottom of the ocean, though, while the act alone was held within legendary regard, due to an attack from an unknown force, the Keraisora clan member who discovered the long forgotten caverns was slain by a monster that seemed to lurk within the abyss before it was hunted down by an assortment of Kirigakure and Konoha ninja once and for all.

So it is the Keraisora still attempt to find their way in the oh so troubled world they live upon, stationed in what seems to be an unending limbo that has them rarely being in one place for far too long, least they become anxious or uneasy... their legs itching to see far off places and mysterious things. Though there are few of the older and wiser members of the clan who whisper soft prophecies.... that the Keraisora in seeking a home and having gone so long without one, the spirits of the air favoured their children, embracing them with their hearts and calling them to the open air. In wondering in search for a home, they found that it was not a country or village that they belonged to, but it was the road itself that became their abode, under the open sky.

    Clan/Bloodline Traits & Characteristics

    • Skin Breathing: The skin of the Keraisora produces passively, a very small amount of air, enough to form a small bubble around themselves in a vacuum or enclosed area, this makes them able to survive in most climates where breathing would be difficult as well as survive many suffocating techniques such as 'water prison jutsu' as they would develop a pocket of air they can survive on.

Bloodline Description & Abilities The Fuuton release of members of the Keraisora Clan is a little different than those of other nations. When the Keraisora weave their Fuuton, so fluent are they with their wind techniques that they create 'pure' Fuuton chakra that is one hundred percent oxygen whenever they weave their jutsu as well as giving it an explosively incendiary quality when it comes into contact with Katon.

    • Conflagration: Keraisora clan members take advantage of their quirk should they be entertaining or defending themselves in one form or another. Any flame source with the specific property to ignite flammable objects or deliver burns is capable of igniting the Fuuton of the clan. When a 'Pure' Fuuton technique is ignited, it erupts almost instantaneously into powerful flames which can deliver burns of minimum damage of the same rank as the ignited technique. (Ie. An ignited C rank Technique would deliver major 1st degree burns.) Igniting a technique in this way, unless specified otherwise, immediately ends the jutsu and commences the cool-down.

Additionally, Keraisora clan members able to apply for a D rank ignition item, be it a glove, ring, mechanism or otherwise with the ability to ignite volatile or flammable substances by throwing a live spark at 10mp/s up to 10m away from the user. This item is to be applied for in the items section with any variations defined.

      Example Ignition glove:

Bloodline Limits & Drawbacks The Keraisora are an interesting band, though they have many useful skills they too garner a couple of weaknesses because of them.

      • Flammable: Due to the fact that the Keraisora clan produce Oxygen from their skin, fire, as much as it can be an ally, it is also a grave enemy of the Keraisora. Should an opponents katon technique or based ability come into contact with their skin, it will set them alight and continue to burn and slowly spread until they are extinguished. Flames spread at 1/5 of a meter per post and flames attained increase in severity by half a degree in the same time. Though after 3 posts the flames will fade, having out-eaten the amount of fuel their body naturally provides.

      • Lithe Form: Keraisora clan members experience more force and knock-back from techniques than other ninja, having -1 to their Constitution stat [C rank Constitution would result in a clan member interacting with things as if they possessed D++ Constitution instead] and experiencing an additional meter of knockback from jutsu that would have any per rank above E. (B rank jutsu would knock Keraisora clan members back an additional 3 meters.)
