He lived long before he took over the humans body he now inhabits, but like all of his kind, he can't remember what he did while he was in the shadows. He was born to a poor farmer and his wife, the land had been ravaged by warlords and he desired revenge on the men as they had destroyed their village and had also harmed his wife in terrible ways. She died giving birth to him and he demanded justice from the gods thus attracting him to the body, he desired to get revenge for this man.
He grew up a completely normal child, but inside he knew what he was, sometimes people would whisper they swore his shadow seemed to change shape, this was all rumors but he did give off a very eerie vibe. He would grow up in a peaceful life until he was around twenty-five as suddenly his village was attacked. It was the same bandits that had caused his mother to die as his father was too weak to fight the village was once again being ravaged. This, however, caused him to finally realize his power as he would begin to obliterate the bandits one by one, they wondered how a freak in the sticks learned ninjutsu but there was a simple answer. The village elder had books on Katon and he was using it with extreme effectiveness.
He would take out the bandits but at a high cost, not realizing how much power he had used his village was ruined, the very flames he used to attack the bandits destroyed the village. The village then demanded he leaves and never come back, he did not want to make them suffer further so he would leave as requested, he had done what he was called to do in this world so now he would explore.
He continued to wander the world, watching Shinobi wars come and go as he remained in the shadows only taking part to keep himself safe. He had lived for so long, he was unsure how old he was now but he was very old. He was happy with this life until he met what would become a lifelong friend. This man was unique like himself, he seemed to live a very long time as well and they quickly bonded as they understood each other. He did not mind if the man snapped and went crazy sometimes, he would let him have his fun before calming him down.
They had often split and did their own things but every ten years they would promise to meet at a location decided since they last met and have some fun. Once they were done having fun they would split for another ten years.
Personality:
He is a very calm and collected man, being alive so long has calmed his raging soul and made him very calculated. He isn't one to stay and fight because of warriors' pride, no he has lived this long knowing when to run or when to pick fights. He has nothing to prove to this world, and would rather be alive than dead. He also is very nice to the younger generations more than willing to give life advice or even suggestions in order to help them improve. He has no qualms with killing if his hand is forced but if possible he will leave his opponents alive, to him suffering defeat is the only way the young will learn and grow stronger.
When it comes to love he has no feeling one way or another, he doesn't mind love but he also doesn't seek it out. This is because he lives forever and they will die to age, he still remembers his first lover and how she died to age while he remained the same age unable to die due to natural causes. He wishes to find someone that cannot die like himself to fall in love with, but he knows this is only a pipedream and isn't possible.
Roleplay Sample:
Raiden would sigh as it seemed to be another night of stopping his friend from committing murder. A man had bumped into him in the bar and he was about to rage, he knew this man for a long time and knew what a hothead he could be as he would move toward the man that looked to be squaring up to fight him.
"I suggest you let it go, boy, he is not someone you should fight if you value your life. I suggest simply walking away and leaving this place for your own safety and all those inside this bar."
The man would laugh but not for long as his friend quickly began to rage and slammed his hand into the man's chest sending him blasting through the wall of the bar. As he was bleeding Raiden would walk over and sigh, he would calm his friend by offering to buy him several rounds before going back to the man. He was losing a lot of blood as he would begin to rush blood from his hand into the man to stop the bleeding. He would soon begin to use his medical Jutsu to heal the man after several minutes he would open his eyes with Raiden offering him a hand. He would accept and bow saying sorry to both men with Raiden giving him a smile, another lesson learned, unlike his idiot friend the never knew when to hold back.
"Listen, sometimes it's better to turn your cheek, you still behave so recklessly after all these years... Sometimes I wonder why I am friends, but I remember it's because you are not scared of me despite my age. Anyways let's have fun the rest of the night no more fights understand."
He would get slapped hard on his back by his friend as the pair would drink all night before retiring with some whores afterward. It was these small moments of the normal life he enjoyed, it was never going to last long but it was fun being around his friend when he could.
