    Unique Abilities:

Hōzuki Stipend: Chigetsu can choose invest back into the Hōzuki Clan! They will invest his money into various stocks and property in an attempt to gain returns. A 1d10 must be rolled to determine the outcome of the success. An outcome of 6-10 means that the investment failed and all of the money is lost, but an outcome of 1-5 means a successful investment and 5% of the invested money is paid back to him once per month, permanently.

Gelatine Constitution:Unlike the average member of the Hozuki Clan, Chigetsu’s liquified state is often thicker than just water. This comes from the mixture of collagen from his joints into his liquified form, and through the manipulation of how much collagen is added the exact thickness can be controlled. This can range from thin enough to be indistinguishable from water to as thick as gelatin or mucus. The addition of this collagen mixture into his form dilutes its purity no matter how much is added though, and as a result Chigetsu gains a natural resistance towards Raiton, reducing the amount of damage he takes from it by one rank. The addition of protein into his liquified form though instead gives him a new weakness to Katon, boosting how much damage he takes from Katon by one rank.

[quote]Hōzuki's Wealth: From the Hōzuki Clan's riches, Chigetsu begins with an additional 100,000 ryo. However this is merely a loan, and he must pay back 150,000 ryo to his clan. 50% of all income he earns goes towards paying off this debt.

Appearance: Chigetsu Hōzuki is an androgynous-looking boy who is often fancily dressed. Her displayed appearance here is not what he had naturally been gifted but instead one that has been carefully constructed over the years. Gone are the days of the lean-built man with straight white hair and almond shaped purple eyes, the standard archetypal heir of the Hōzuki. His hair now sports a soft pink dye at all times, and has grown out to the point of absurdity and folded into a thick and meaty braid. That carefully manipulated hair is his pride, and the way it drapes down his shoulder, or occasionally over his shoulder, is controlled meticulously. It is real rather than any sort of false extension and he takes care to maintain it to a state of pleasantly silky smoothness. It is not uncommon for a variety of accessories, often black bows, to adorn his hair as cute little additions. Aware of his appearance at all times, Chigetsu is the particularly vain type who is always thinking about how others will perceive him and it clearly shows. Those purple eyes remain the same, but now often coated in eyeliner and mascara. The makeup he wears is slight, often very natural, but at the same time a noticeable feature if one should look close.

Standing at a mere 164 cm and weighing only 56 kg, Chigetsu’s statue is petite and demure. The soft, and uncommonly delicate skin he has is just a touch darker than what is normal to his clan, setting him apart ever so slightly from the usual shining paleness into a more creamy tone.

History: Born to the Hōzuki Clan, Chigetsu was allowed to experience the extravagant wealth that the clan had to offer from birth. This allowed him a comfortable, if soft, upbringing. Despite having been trained in order to be both a merchant and a shinobi for most of his life, Chigetsu is exceptionally mediocre at both. His natural aloofness prevents him from acquiring the sort of business acumen required to succeed, even with the built-in advantages that the wealth of his clan brings him. The wealth he was raised on has given him an unfortunate taste for extravagance as well, and money in his hands is usually funneled down the drain in order to afford shiny baubles and expensive trinkets, all of which are promptly forgotten about the moment the next glimmer catches his eye.

With a sword in his hands, the results are only marginally better, and after years of private training by some of the most skilled tutors that the Hōzuki have available, Chigetsu can perhaps be considered an amateur. He is at the very least incapable of cutting himself due to his clan’s hydrification ability, which has already saved his life on multiple occasions due to his carelessness with blades.

This, together with his habit of cross-dressing, has led to his family at large to regard him as a general failure.

Personality: What had been a naturally aloof young man, the sort who rarely applied himself towards any particular pursuit and with no goals, ended up transforming dramatically over the last few years. As a teenager, it was hard to describe Chigetsu as anything other than miserable, having witnessed over and over again the dull nature of his own reality. He was lost in a nihilistic inactivity, finding no pleasure in anything. All he could do was think and lament, prevented from taking any action due to this. One could say he had ‘analysis paralysis’. Caught up in illusions, miserable fantasies that prevented him from really dealing with reality itself, Chigetsu found himself in a comfortable sort of misery and was unable to escape. He wasn’t always like this. There had been a time, during his childhood, when he had been comfortable, and even entranced with the world around him. But memories of this became nauseating, repulsive.

But here he is now, transitioned into a being of bright color and cheerfulness rather than the leghatic darkness that such a description would imply. While his appearance and personality changed dramatically during this time there was no spark that would trigger such an action. From the perspective of his family there was a day when the failure that was Chigetsu was suddenly shifted without any warning.

After trying so hard to look at the sun, we turn away blinded. We have dark colored spots before our eyes as restoratives. But in time that blinded vision which we recoil away from fades, and the inverted colors in our eyes return to seeing reality how it truly is. Instead of endlessly plummeting, endlessly miserable, Chigetsu has created his own vision of reality and a place within it. In an endless cheerfulness, he has become utterly authentic to his own desires with an unlimited acceptance of the self.

Chigetsu takes pleasure in life as it is, and where there is no pleasure he creates pleasure. Disinterested in most of the problems of the world, he simply works to achieve his desires however petty they may be. He is relaxed in the sense that he is rooted in his own self. While easily mistaken for a mischievous imp, or something of a hedonist, this is a similarity only on the surface. While seeking pleasure and working to preserve his own energy, Chigetsu does not shy away from the natural suffering that comes with life. Having already indulged in this, he has come to understand that this bitterness is exactly how life should be, and so he takes pleasure in this suffering.
